Equipo Navazos La Bota 89 is a rare single-cask grain whisky bottled in 2018 at 46% ABV. Distilled in Castilla la Vieja, Northern Spain, this approximately 14-year-old spirit spent its final seven years maturing in a solera cask previously used for aged, dry Oloroso. Complex and refined, La Bota 89 delivers tobacco and roasted grain notes with a subtle smoky, peaty undertone. A honeyed sweetness emerges mid-palate, creating an almost Bourbon-like character without heavy vanillin. The finish is spicy, saline, and impeccably smooth—a testament to its meticulous aging process. This is an intensely flavoured yet elegantly balanced spirit.
