About Us
Have you stumbled across another online wine shop in Sydney? Yes — but we're no ordinary liquor store. We're an independent, Sydney-based bottle shop with our home in the heart of Enmore, and we're here to back our local businesses and Aussie makers. Think of us as the neighbourhood mate who actually knows what a good Australian red is, and which underground bar is worth your Friday night before it goes viral.
Who we are
We love everything booze related. We're a bunch of mates who get together a bit too often over a fine drop or two — or three — and that gets us talking a little too much. The only difference now is that you're invited to the table.
Our tasting panel includes WSET-certified wine and saké specialists alongside long-standing whisky veterans who've travelled a good many Islays. We spend our weekends discovering local craft breweries and spirit distilleries around the inner west that are pumping out seriously good juice — and then we tell you about them.
What makes us different
Most bottle shops sell you what's good. We tell you why it's good.
We make drinking on the job legal, with a real-life tasting panel that writes genuine tasting notes and tells you the story behind the drop. We get up close with the winemakers and brew masters because we love the obsession these people bring to their work — they're not just juicing oranges out there.
That obsession shows up most clearly in the corners of the shop other retailers skip. We're one of the few genuine Japanese saké specialists in the country, stocking Junmai, Daiginjo, Umeshu and seasonal releases from respected breweries — not the single dusty bottle you'll find elsewhere. The same goes for Japanese whisky, minimal-intervention natural wine and rare and collectable bottles.
What we stock
We get that there's a different drink for every occasion, and that everyone's palate is their own. So alongside Australian reds you'll find premium international wine, Scotch and Australian whisky, gin, tequila, craft beer from breweries down the road, and a proper non-alcoholic range for the nights you're not drinking.
