What's the difference between Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio?

Same grape, different accent. 'Grigio' signals the lighter, crisper Italian style; 'Gris' the richer, spicier Alsatian style. Australian producers use whichever name matches the wine they've made.

Which white wine is driest?

Clare and Eden Valley Riesling and most Sauvignon Blanc are bone dry. Don't let Riesling's sweet reputation fool you — the Australian classic style has zero sugar and electric acidity.
