Farrside By Farr Pinot Noir 2023
From the heart of Geelong’s Moorabool Valley, By Farr’s Sangreal Vineyard (planted in 1994) produces one of the most aromatic and elegant Pinot Noirs in their range. The 2023 vintage is crafted with 70% whole-bunch fermentation, then matured for 18 months in 70% new French oak. The result is a beautifully perfumed wine, with red cherries, plums, spice and a fine mineral thread from the limestone soils.
Unfined and unfiltered, this wine offers a seamless structure and delicate complexity. With ~14% ABV and a diameter cork, it’s built for both immediate enjoyment (with decanting) and medium-term cellaring (2026–2033+).
Tasting Notes: Perfumed and seductive, with a seductive core of red fruit and a finish that combines earth, spice and a touch of mineral.
Food Pairing: Roast duck, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, soft cheese.
